Trevon

Hi, my name is Trevon McCargo, and I currently serve as the FCCLA Secretary for the Appomattox FCCLA Chapter. Being a part of FCCLA for the first time has been one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my life. Through this organization, I have learned how to handle responsibility, develop leadership skills, and work effectively as part of a team. I have also had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with amazing officers and members whom I would not have known otherwise. These experiences helped me earn a promotion to shift leader at McDonald’s, as my leadership skills and dedication stood out to my supervisors.

 

Outside of FCCLA, I participate on the leadership team for Y Street, where I am involved in two major campaigns. The first, Rev Your Bev, focuses on improving students’ access to clean and healthy drinking water in schools. The second, Share the Air, promotes environmental awareness and advocates for cleaner air by encouraging positive changes in our community. In addition, I am a member of the track team, where I compete in the 300-meter and 500-meter events. I also continue to work as a manager at McDonald’s, balancing academics, athletics, leadership, and work responsibilities.
