Kathryn
My name is Kathryn, and I am proud to serve as the Vice President of Public Relations for FCCLA. Being involved in FCCLA has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my high school career. This club has given me countless opportunities to grow as a leader, develop important life skills, and connect with others who share similar interests and goals. Through my role as Vice President of Public Relations, I have learned how to communicate effectively, promote events, and represent FCCLA in a positive and professional way.
Last year, I had the opportunity to compete at the state level, where I earned second place in Event Management. This experience was both challenging and exciting, as it required strong teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills. Competing at states helped me gain confidence in my abilities and motivated me to set higher goals for myself within FCCLA. It also taught me the importance of preparation, collaboration, and dedication.
FCCLA has helped me become more social and outgoing by encouraging me to step outside of my comfort zone and work with new people. Before joining FCCLA, I was more reserved, but through meetings, competitions, and leadership opportunities, I have grown more confident in communicating and expressing my ideas. One of the best parts of being involved in FCCLA has been the friendships I have made along the way. I have met many supportive, hardworking, and inspiring individuals who have made my FCCLA experience even more meaningful.
Overall, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of FCCLA. The lessons, experiences, and relationships I have gained through this club will stay with me long after high school. I look forward to continuing my journey in FCCLA, growing as a leader, and making a positive impact within the club.
